If you're looking for the best pho noodles in San Jose, Kali Noodles and Tea Bar is it. Their yellow noodles with any kind of meat? Absolutely unmatched. You can tell they put real effort into their flavors--authentic, satisfying, and none of that heavy MSG taste you get at other spots. Portions are generous, and it's the kind of comfort food that hits just right. Don't sleep on their drinks, either. Their boba and Vietnamese iced coffee are top-tier--perfect alongside a hot bowl of noodles. Plus, the family owners are some of the kindest people you'll meet. It's clear they care about their food and their customers, which is why I've been coming here for 5 years. Whether it's a cozy meal or just a quick pick-me-up, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Wah, I should come here once a week. The broth was aromatic, savory, and sweet. They are very generous with their portions, the restaurant is clean and the staff is welcoming. Thank you for a heart-warming meal. Definitely coming back to try other dishes and drinks.

Needed some warm noodles for a day that started a little wet and chilly. Decided to try Kali Noodles for the first time. Arrived around 1:20 pm on a Friday and first good impression is plenty of parking spots in their private lot. We tried a Nam Vang Flat Yellow Noodle Dry-style, and a Shredded Chicken & Fish Fillet Yellow Noodle Soup. The noodles in both dishes were excellent with just the right amount of springiness. Enjoyed the dry style especially with the fried pork lard and tasty sauce. The fish in the soup noodle was very nice, but the chicken was rubbery (problem is that it was not really shredded and not pounded to tenderize before cooking). There was chopped garlic among the condiments which boosted everything. Overall flavor is 5 out of 5. Service was very good. Food arrived quickly. Will probably be back to try other dishes. Just not the chicken.

First time having Hu Tiu! Met some friends with the family. Staff was so kind and rearranged the tables outside for our large party. Orders came quick and food shortly after. Had the Ca phe sua da and the Hu Tiu with flat noodles (dry w/dipping). Wife ordered the Hu Tiu with yellow and flat noodle mix (also dry) and the meatball for all to try. Nice outdoor space to let the toddlers roam. Parking is tight with some street parking near. Enjoyed the meal!

Noodles and Noodles and more Noodle choices to decide. Let me first start out how accommodating the host was, my friend requested spring rolls w/or pork, done, the rest of us had the authentic spring rolls, delicious! We also ordered tater tots, fried to perfection and they brought out a variety of seasons . I had the shredded chicken, yellow noodles with all the fixings, very tasty, downfall was the chicken was dry but again tasty large bowl of goodness! Everyone enjoyed their own large bowls as well. This place is between a hole-in-wall but it does have its own parking. We do plan to return, great for Fall/Winter seasons.

Kali Noodles & Tea Bar, located on corner of 9th Street and Santa Clara St in downtown San Jose, is a popular spot offering Vietnamese cuisine with a focus on noodle dishes and a wide selection of teas. Known for dishes like Hu Tieu Nam Vang (Cambodian-style noodle soup) and Pho Filet Mignon, the restaurant also provides various vegan and vegetarian options, making it accessible for different dietary preferences. Their Canh Bún crab shrimp noodle soup is quite good, at $20, it's a sensitive price point for San Jose State University students and the low income families around here, but it's solidly good. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, and it's a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner with a variety of drinks and teas on the menu. The restaurant is also known for its community outreach and friendly service. Their hours are from 9 AM to 8 PM, and they offer dine-in, takeout, and outdoor seating options . They keep the sauces, condiments very clean and organized here.

When i went in, it wasn't far from martin luther king library the server was patient and nice which is a plus for this restaurant the porton sizes of the food was pretty normal or it is to me but the menu has me for a loop you can mix noodles and customize your order specifically to you and thats nice you can mix the same type of noodles but in different sizes which is also nice the soup was unfortunately untouched by me but the noodles has a nice rich taste to it not bad its meatballs are ok but it added to the taste as did the white onions and the greens that was in my bowl however. Despite the menu and location its atmosphere isnt too busy for a restaurant near the city which is incredibly surprising to me but i did spot was A few people here maybe it wasnt too busy yet one of them was the owner 5/5 but this is my personal opinion and should not be considered as offical or final i should leave that to the individual and the yelp elite to decide for themselves

We stopped by for a quick meal but was pleasantly surprised. There was lots of space to dine, bathrooms, and everything else was kept clean and organized. We only ordered one bowl of noodles and bread since my other half had already eaten. We really appreciate the hospitable, polite, and warm staff who went the extra mile to make sure we're comfortable and at home while at their restaurant. They brought an extra bowl and chopsticks for my husband too, and made sure we had everything we needed. The portion was generous, and the noodles we ordered were delicious. The shrimp was huge! I would love to try more food on their menu next time.

My favorite place for hủ tiếu! With this Vietnamese-style pork and seafood noodle dish, you can enjoy the noodles within the soup or dry with the soup on the side (hủ tiểu khô). I prefer the latter. The bowl comes with pork, shrimp, quail eggs, bean sprouts, lettuce, and green onion. The portion sizes are generous, and it is fresh and flavorful meal. There is a variety of noodles to choose from, including thin rice noodles, flat white, and yellow egg noodles. I love adding in the spicy pickled peppers from the condiments tray. I also recommend a side of the savory fried donut sticks (giò cháo quẩy), which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Dip them into your broth for a delightful eating experience! The staff is welcoming and friendly, and I've always received attentive service each time I visit. The restaurant is located in downtown San Jose, and they have their own convenient private parking lot. This spot also has my mother's stamp of approval. I'm always excited to come back when I have a craving!
